It’s fall, so that means National Book Festival. This year, like the last couple of years, it is indoors at the National Convention Center- a huge building which spans two city blocks. Plenty of rooms for authors.
I attended this year and was able to sit in and listen as some of my favorite authors- from middle grades to YA to adult- spoke about their lives, their books, and how they get such wonderful ideas.
It was a full day but I am so glad I went. I was able to hear Lois Lowry, Shonda Rhimes, Lauren Groff, Jason Reynolds, Raina Telgemeier, and the incomparable Salman Rushdie. What a great day for this librarian!
